The Discipline

It's no secret that I'm a fan of Steven Universe. One of the interesting concepts in the show is the idea of "fusions"-- when two characters merge into a single, more powerful fighter. While the idea of characters fusing into a singular form is by no means a new concept, it is handled in a new way. It is described that the fusion form is not two people in one body, nor is it a new person entirely. It's always a little bit vague, and I find it very intriguing and creative.
So I decided that I wanted to draw what the cast of Outcast Kingdom would look like in fusion forms.
So I did.
First off, this is not canon. They can't actually do this in the story. It's just for fun.
Also, this isn't OK characters in the SU universe, this is a SU concept in the OK universe. So they're not going to look like gem fusions, aesthetically or stylistically speaking.
And also they don't have gem names. Instead, all of their names are "The (something)". The Hilda/Gunther fusion is "The Discipline".

The small object in the lower right is what the shields look like from the front, and it shows how the two 'line up' to create a shield wall. Also, the spikes on the lower edge of the shields come from "pavise shields" used by Italian crossbowmen in medieval times. This allowed them to stick the shield into the ground as a sort of portable cover to shoot from.
Also, each fusion form will have a sort of theme or inspirational source, this one being a medieval knight (clearly with some artistic license, of course).
