Io and Prism by Willdabeast-0305 Io and Prism by Willdabeast-0305
I was going to draw one big group picture of all the women in Hero's Dilemma, but that by the time I finished these two I decided to just go ahead and post it. I'll do more character art in the future.

And yes, I'm still working on the next chapter.

Io and Prism are basically opposites in a number of ways. Prism is tall (about 6'), and Io is short (a little over 4'). Prism wears a costume of bright colors in random patterns, Io wears a plain and practical lab coat. Prism is excitable, while Io is calm. Prism is kind and emotional, whereas Io doesn't experience much more than subtle emotions and isn't very good at expressing what she does feel. Prism is kind of childish and often acts without thinking, while Io has known more about science and the universe than any human on earth ever since she absorbed a vast database from an advanced alien device.

I don't actually know much about their backgrounds (alien technology events notwithstanding). I don't even have definitive real names for them yet. I'll have to write more about them some time. Maybe a story where they have to learn how to work together-- kind of a straight man and foil situation, to use the term loosely.

Questions? Comments? Whatever? Your feedback is always appreciated!

and as always, Don't Forget To Be Awesome!

they are both adorable in their own ways.
I tend to lean more toward the logical type of character though, so I have to say I like Io more, but Prism is super cutesy and I like her color theme.

Thanks! I'm glad you like them : )

Io is probably more helpful to a team, but Prism really does try super hard to be a good hero. I think they'd make a great team (or at least a team that's entertaining to see or read about)

I wanted to make sure Io wasn't just a boring, emotionless, robot of a person. I wanted to make sure she had a personality, albeit an unemotional one. Even though she's only had one scene so far, I hope I conveyed that well enough, and I do like writing her dialog.

Short people are seriously under-represented in comics. In most kinds of media, as far as I can tell.
