Argent City Saga - Walker
"We'll let ya know if we find out anything," officer Horne said, jotting down a few notes and putting away his note pad. The old man nodded, and went back into the convenience store. Eyes still on the crime scene, Horne spoke without turning. "Whatcha think, kid?" Pearson paused. "Looks like your run of the mill stick-up to me." "Looks that way," Horne agreed. "But don't jump to conclusions. Did ya notice anything unusual?" Pearson stopped and thought a bit, his eyebrows furling first one way, then the other. "They came in the front door, one approached the cash register, pulled a gun and demanded money. The cashier complied, pulling a wad of money out of the register and handing it over. The gunman took it, and the two perps left. No one got hurt, nothing got broken. Didn't even bother stealing anything. They just took the money and ran." "Aren'tcha missing something?" The Council of the Unseen Seers
“We hereby call to order The Council of The Unseen Seers,” The Officiator said to the many other dark cloaked figures in the dark room, seated around the great obsidian table. “By now, we have all selected our chosen heroes and set them out on their journeys. Is this not so?” “It is so,” said the cloaked figures in unison. “Very good. Then let us share our tales so far. Her Voice Shakes The Heavens, shall we begin with your tale?” Her Voice Shakes The Heavens stood. “Very well. My chosen one was the only son of a common shepherd. He expected nothing of his life other than to continue his father's trade. But then he met a wise old woman who told him that he is destined for greatness. Episode 4
Sycorax waited by the fields outside the city of Colline de Ferro. She levitated a few feet off the ground, as if in an invisible hammock. Episode 3
Sycorax sat alone in the dimly lit room for some time. Because nothing changed, the minutes started to blend together, and her sense of time grew foggy.
The walls were a dull grey; featureless, and of unidentifiable material. The table before her was cold and utilitarian. A lone grey door across the room stared back at her, unmoving, like a disciplined castle guard, or a golem awaiting its master. It would have made your Average Joe nervous and ill at ease, but Sycorax was not easily concerned.
Eventually, the door opened and two body guards entered. Black suits, sunglasses, ear pieces. The whole nine yards. Sycor
WITCH'S WAGER
Episode 2
Above the streets of Fort Dorado, the mighty Guardian Girl ran along the flat rooftops of the industrial district, leaping from one building to the next. She loved the feeling of wind rushing by her as she ran, and the look of the orange sunset behind the silhouetted cityscape.
But that evening, a large, grey bird came up beside her. It kept pace with her, glancing over at the hero every few seconds.
Up ahead, a glowing circle of light appeared at the far end of the building she was on, several meters ahead. She slowed her pace as she approached, cautious of the phenomenon.
